hi; i can't believe i finally found a site for my all time favorite amusement park.....i, like so many others...have such wonderful memories of pleasure island...for years i have been looking for anything related to the park.....though i only visited the park about a half dozen times when it was open....i have such vivid memories.....back in 1979...i had a business conference to attend...it was held at the colonial in wakefield....and as soon as i checked in to the hotel...i did what i had though about doing for years.....i went for a walk into the area where pleasure island was located.....even though virtually everything was gone...i could visualize exactly where things were...i could place the main entrance....the location of the wreck of the hespres....the light house and of course the train station and where the tracks were located....for years i have looked for memorabila at flea markets, but have never found anything more than some postcards and a magnet.....(which i of course purchased)....since finding the web site...i have read every single item and studied every photograph.....it is wonderful...and i will check the site for new additions on a regular basis......

one last thing.....i work at television station wmur in manchester, n.h. where i am the nightly sports anchor....a couple of years ago...we did a story on some amusement park....when we came out of the story....and back on camera....i mentioned that.....nothing compares to my all time favorite amusement park, pleaseure island......about a week later...i got a letter from a viewer in peterborough, new hampshire who sent me a copy of a newspaper article he wrote for the boston herald many years ago on pleasure island....his last name was yetman....and a copy of his article is on the web site......

keep up the great work...and if there is ever a reunion and fans of pleasure island are invited....i would love to attend....... best wishes,
