It looks like this Rick Nelson concert is what brought Marilyn & her friend to the park that day. Later Marilyn waited in front of the Lord Wakefield for a glimpse of the superstar, and perhaps an autograph. Brother Dan Benjamin, fishing on Lake Quannapowitt on the back side of the hotel, was the one who got to meet and talk with him.
