Elaine Coy (via Vinny Campanella)

I know what happened to Moby Dick. He was crushed and taken away by a trash hauler. I believe he went to a dump in NH. If I am not mistaken it was in about 1983 or 84.

I can give you more information if you like. When Carrabetta owned the park/land and turned it into office buildings the Ponds were drudged and Moby Dick was removed. He was offered to me but I had no use for him. He was crushed and hauled away.

At that time a contractor from Texas, Ed Callan, was doing the job. He had several pictures of Pleasure Island. I remember seeing them. If you want to try to get them or get copies of them or more information about it I can try to see what I can do. There may be a way to reach him????

It has been several years so I don't know. I do know someone that knows his mother and may have her address. I hope this was somewhat helpful.

P.S. I do have a few corrections about Moby Dick but they are just about the names of the people. The land was owner by Carabetto and he sold it to Ed Callan. It was Ed Callan that owned the land and made Pleasure Island into an Office
Park. I have access to one picture of the land when the park was being demolished.
